I find it interesting how there are 42 Peaceful deities mentioned in the Tibetan Text, and also 42 Assessors, or Judges of Ma'at in the Egyptian afterlife/book of the dead protocols.

I can only imagine the numbers and concepts are significant, and the appearance is something that varies culturally, but beyond that, who knows...
