We are all connected; your anger/attacks will create nothing good.

Instead, you could do something good and helpful for everyone, at the very least be a kind and loving person. At the most join the evolving spirit, progress and also reduce suffering for everyone, for yourself, the ones you love etc. There is no reason to cultivate negativity, even if you are externalizing it - it will never do anything positive.

I would seriously say this to the person responsible: There has been a misunderstanding.

The fact is that ALL the active members here deeply desire to create POSITIVE influences on visitors and other members, and HELP them in any way they can. If you feel you have been treated badly here, then a MISTAKE has been made somewhere, miscommunication has occurred. The result is that you are harming those who would try to be your friends--and by that you're harming yourself.

Instead, pay a visit and discuss these things. All things can be forgiven and rectified when people let go of what they IMAGINE are animosities between them (and that goes in both directions--I can certainly be a very contentious person, myself. Yet I love nothing more than connecting and working positively with ANYONE who wants the same!). Fundamentally, all people are the same and want and are seeking the same things--even if they start out believing they're at odds.

What has happened is really no big deal. Just drop it, and come make friends, be treated well, and move in a positive direction for yourself and others.
 
I don't think "some men you just can't reach" is correct, being a man you shouldn't attack from the shadows playing pointless kid shit just to try fuck with people.

It should be "some children you just can't reach"

Seems to me its the work of a child not a man.

if i may say i think Xt ment this generaly "some men you just can't reach" and i agree it is pointless to talk to some people they dont listen anyway wheather its man or kid enything you say just go in through one ear than around the brain and out the other :)
 
Well said swimfriend, I think there must have been a significant miscommunication for someone to feel enough ill will toward this community to perpetrate this attack. Even if it's just "for the lulz", I think it would behoove any involved parties to understand one another rather than engage in this tactic of deliberately obstructing communication.

If the attacker reads this, I would ask what the endgame is here? Are you seeking to permanently shut down the nexus? That hardly seems feasible in the long run (and an odd choice of target to boot). So I have to wonder where this is going? Is it a temporary outlet for boredom? Are there particular conditions for "victory" that you're seeking to fulfill? Are these questions that you gave any thought to before launching the attack?

My guess is that the infantile mind(s) behind the attacks would like to be seen as master(s) of the web and gain the respect this way, they fail to get from others in their daily live(s). If i would have been a psychological profiler i would probably have to add that these kinds of people often keep wetting their beds until early puberty and are, as the result of their inabillity to make contact with girls, burdened with a great deal of sexual frustration wich is often expressed in excessive nosepicking and compulsive behaviours like feeling a strong urge to scratch labels of beer and soda botles.

I laughed and laughed when I read this. Who do we imagine this is? Come on, it's not Annonymous - they like BIG, PUBLICLY KNOWN & LUCRATIVE targets.

Who do you think it is? Big Blue? LOL. Whoever it is is NOT thinking in terms of Endgame, strategy or tactics. They couldn't even think beyond rigid black/white thinking to see grey territory. Whatever the beef is, the response was reflexive - launch a DDOS attack.

So, to state the glaringly obvious - here is what the endgame will be - one of these:

1.) Attacker will become bored over time and will move on. This is the "go away" scenario.

2.) Attacker will be defeated by Traveler's hard work and will move on. Also a "go away" scenario.

3.) Attacker will get a job, enlist in military, go to school, meet a nice girl (or boy) and will start to a.) not have time for such silliness and b.) realize that there are bigger (& smaller) much more important issues that require their attention. This is the "grow up" scenario.

4.) Attacker will make some sort of dumbass mistake (probably not in the cyber world, though possibly) and get arrested and their time/resources will become tied up with the legal system. This is the "go to jail" scenario.

If I had to guess and was encouraged to place a wager, I'd bet on #2.


Which ever one it is, I hope it happens soon. Even if it does not, there is no doubt that we will survive and thrive.
