SWIM has been playing with some torch and is not getting anything from the vinegar evap. following the 69rons d-limo tek to a T.

5% acme distilled vinegar

separates and looks cloudy but then evaps clear.

let the d-limo and cactus solution sit over night and then filtered and separated.

Any thoughts besides bunk cactus?
 
Hmmm that sucks dude...if you got the torch from the same place as I did, and I think you did, I am very surprised to hear it is bunk cactus...I'm extracting between 1-1.2g of mescaline acetate per 100g of torch...not sure what's going on there.

guess SWIM has to make some tea and see. maybe more calcium hydroxide?
 
this is what i do
100g cactus + 25g caoh_/\/\/\_mixed thoroughly
add++300ml water
mix to paste then_/\/\/\_ mix thoroughly 5 mins
let sit 1 hour
add 300ml limonene_/\/\/\_ mix 5 mins let sit 24hours
pour off limonene into sepp funnel
add 50ml vinegar and swirl~~~~ 10 mins
let sit 1 hr
swirl~~~~ 10 min
drain vinegar into pan evap in food dehydrator

very interesting you got nothing
if it is indeed bunk cactus
what was your source? so i may avoid them.


as for more caoh... that shouldnt be the issue
 
swim was using toluene instead of d-limo and got almost nothing as well..
is there a problem with using toluene?
 
The only thing I can think of is not swirling the d-limo and vinegar combo long enough. Is it possible the goods got stuck in the coffee filter?

very well could be vinegar wasnt mixed well enough

That's good man...if you got your torch from IcarosDNA...I did try a tester dose of just 5g dried of this cactus...and it was definitely active at even at that dose...thanks psychosis though for the heads up on the vicious vinegar shake...might be why my last extraction was less successful than previous ones, not sure.
 
I was using 90% d-limonene on my first attempt and my vinegar layer turn cloudy/white and yielded shit loads of inactive wax. Then I used 95%, the vinegar layer was clear/yellow and yielded 900mg of very nice mesc acetate. My third extract was the same as the second using cactus from HP.

I always leave my first limo pull sitting for a couple of days and do a few multiple stirs here and there before I pour the limo off. This way I always seem to get the bulk of it in the first pull.

I tend shake the hell out of it!! Then give it some time to seperate. Only prob is I tend to get some limo in the vinegar pulls... but this can be filtered out later.

SWIM took 2 large Tablespoons of powder and mixed it in some icetea with 3 datura seeds last night just before dinner and had a nice time. Nothing major but certainly enough to say Hi and let SWIM know what he was looking for was there.
 
Top stuff man...persevere, and you should be sitting pretty...I'm very happy when I yield a gram or more of mescaline acetate from 100g of cactus. And yeah I also always leave my first pull sitting for a few days, with several mixings during that time.
 
So after 3 days of separated and mixing I think it finally worked. The vinegar is now a florescent purple color. Will separate and evap after I get back from fishing trip.
 
hmmm I wonder why the purplish color...as SWIM has never experienced that...but I hope it works out for SWIY
 
Instead of purple it was actually a pink color. It literally looked like Pink lemonade in the 1/2 pint mason jar.

Its evaping now. Let you know in a few days.

One of your ingredients is not right at all. The limo should be a yellow greenish tinge, and the vinegar should be clear

purple or pink is not right. Perhaps convert your final product (if there iis any) to hcl and try wash off whatever that is.
 
Well it dried into 2 grams of what I would describe as ear wax, maybe a little redish brown, that basically pealed easily off the glass. Still very sticky as it sticks to the blade when trying to cut up.
