tough trip

SWIM completed his marsofolds tek and dried 1.5 gr of nice white spice, Extremely excited SWIM scraped it from the filter after it dried and called his 2 best buds who were also invested, so they all wanted to try it together for the first time. swim filled his freind a relatively small hit on some weed.(scale is in the mail) he hit it and said it was smoother than he thought it would be and he held it in long, he didnt get much though, some open eye visuals to some weird bodily feelings.


So SWIM would estimate it to be maybe a 1/4 of a fingernails worth, SWIM had heard that 1/2 a finger nail is a good breakthrough dose(I know this is a really bad way of measuring). SWIM filled his hit and put the big lump of spice down and he had a huge pre-flight anxiety. SWIM had been known to get anxious everynow and then, but this was like trembles. SWIM wasnt scared of dying or anything but he was nervous about the intense breakthrough and the fact he barely had any Idea what he was in for. after SWIM cleared it he immediatly knew it worked because he layed down on his bed as his 2 freinds were close in the room watching mtv queitly and his body got very warm and tingly all over. then SWIM started to feel dizzy and his freinds voices were slowly fading as he closed my eyes. thats when it got INTENSE, in the blackness SWIM slowly felt as if the darkness that he dwelled in within his head was widing like an expanding room. It seemed to be very distant but SWIM could see no longer black but a plasma-orange colored ocean with blue shining lights within it shining what seemed to be a very far distance. then he felt like he was being launched towards this membrane-ocean wall faster and faster and as he was getting closer it, it was kalidoscoping all over leaving behind white spots where it folded and as he got closer the wall was now almost all a big bright white light. well while SWIM was being launched through this colorful tunnel like realm, his freinds were still watching mtv and a comercial came on and he could here them laughing and it sounded like the Tv was screaming now and repeating the same thing over and over while SWIM's freinds were constantly laughing and basically it was one of those moments of true chaos were you wanted to scream shut up. SWIM tried to push out some words and tell them to turn off the tv and shut up, but he was literally 2 seconds from passing this white glowing membrane when all the noise brought SWIM back and he opened his eyes and everything was so bright.

The tv and the walls and everywhere were just shining and he felt more light-headed then he had ever been before in his life. SWIM began immediatly spewing out hate saying to his freinds that he was close and they messed it up with all the noise. they then told SWIM that a loud commercial came on and he immediatly started clenching and saying make the screech stop and they turned off the tv immediatly, but they sayed that he kept clenching and acting tense and they also sayed they never laughed, but SWIM swears he remembered something laughing loud and the tv constantly playing a screech like bell sound for what seemed like 2 or 3 solid minutes. SWIM's body had been having a slight shake the whole time from the pre-flight jitters and the weight on his chest (or from what SWIM remembers he think it was a weight or some kind of anxiety that was interacting with his body) as SWIM was getting closer to the membrane wall, the feeling was very intense by the time he had opened his eyes. he did remember getting a little shakey when the feeling of death or being pulled away was overcoming and he began to panic slightly. SWIM assumes that the membrane like wall he was approaching was the breakthrough point to hyperspace and the anxiety, friends prescence, and fear all kept SWIM from making that final stride.

Did anyone else have a problem with pre-flight anxiety messing with the trip and is there anyway to make it easier on yourself?

Take a few minutes to breathe, relax and focus your intentions. Make sure that the setting is perfect, clean up if needed.

I almost always get pre-flight anxiety, its normal. Il get everything nice and clean, maybe even take a shower first, load up the smoking vessel, and now is the time that il spend a few mins breathing, calming the nerves. Il take on small hit, just to get the feel of whats to come, 10 mins later I blast off.

Work on set & setting and intentions.

by pre-flight mini toke, do you mean like smoke a little weed to calm yourself or a small spice hit to calm down followed by another one to launch?

No weed, just a small spice hit first.

Also dude, the TV and the guys in the room, turn the TV off and ask them to maybe wait in the room nextdoor, or atleast to sit dead quite. Set and Setting:)
 
I would never ever do it with a TV going in the backround or anywhere within 100 miles for that matter. It scares me to hear this

Be careful of your setting really. This stuff deserves a little more attention to setting for your own good, trust me on that.
 
yeah that is what SWIM had assumed, he is going to try again towmorrow by himself with a nice clean room after a relaxing shower with peace and quiet in the air along with beautiful sloitude. wish SWIM luck:)

-that small first toke will be on a screen followed by a normal toke on screen too, right? is it ok to smoke it on a clean screen with nothing under it?
 
As they said, set and setting. I think your idea for your next launch seems better. I also suggest closing your eye for the experience.

Adding DMT straight to the screen might be a problem, as the DMT very possibly will melt through the screen. Its better if you add sandwich it between herbs (which can be anything, like mint or chamomile or passiflora or whatever tea or herbs you might have there.
 
what would anyone suggest to smoke it with that wont affect the trip or cloud it in any ways otherwise.
 
Many will say it may cloud your session, but for me a little cannabis pre-flight helps both with jitters and with possible nausea. I think as you gain experience, your jitters will decrease and you can always eliminate anything you take pre-flight. There is a LOT to be gained during sub-breakthrough doses...there is no requirement to throw yourself across the universe on your first trip {but I wouldn't have listened to anyone trying to tell me that initially ;-)}.

As you have time, take a look into Changa and/or caapi leaf. The caapi leaf will help reduce short-term tolerance and will help you be able to take a small first toke...and get through the initial adrenalin rush. Then you can go full bore a little easier.

thanks, Swim actually ordered an ounce of cappi leaf yesterday and he is planning to get some Silene Capensis, has anyone ever made changa with it and what is it like?
 
SWIM just tried his spice again and is still feeling a little light headed while typing this, but SWIM thinks he beat the anxiety and is at a complete state of mutual respect and comfort with the spice. SWIM tried a technique that he just thought of while really high on some 2010 cannabis cup winner super lemon haze(a must-buy for the weed coneisuerr:) )

SWIM sandwiched some weed inbetween 2 screens with spice on top. SWIM used a jet lighter to blast it with heat but no flame until it melted through the screen on to the weed which was now in a bright ember from the heat and SWIM felt it hit immediatly but he knew it was not enough to break through but enough hallucinate so he got up and explored the house but knocked over the bong spilt a little water but was too tipsy to clean it and in the mood to explore. I went outside where a mild storm was approaching with wind and the taste of lightning in the air, it was a staticy like sense on the end of my tounge and throughout my teeth. I felt like I needed more so I quickly made it back to the room and filled another small hit and cleared it with NO anxiety or panic.

I then layed back and felt some strange feelings coming and then I closed my eyes and started to make out the design of a large face but then my roommate knocked on the door and I let her in and she apoligized for interrupting but then stepped on the bong spill and began yelling at me. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!! for someone who partially understands the spice why would she yell at a current tripper. her face began to grow old quick and develop wrinkles within seconds as her voice began to turn deeper and more demonic. The funny part was is that I was laughing inside because I knew it wasnt real and it was nice to see that witch get payback in my head.😉 After returning to normal I realized that the thought of filling another hit didnt scare me anymore and I was almost feeling up to it right now. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
 
I am still dealing with pre-flight anxiety. Making changa definitely helped in taking a pre-trip toke to tune into the energy before fully committing. Definitely intention and settings will do wonders in allowing you to access more energy. Meditating and Ujjayi Breath before the journey has helped me in using less spice but still achieving breakthroughs.

Dude but I'm impressed, out of the bong, how can you walk around after taking a toke? A single hit to full lotus and I'm barely in the room anymore. Another large one and I'm in jimjam land.

This made me smile. So you think. I thought that about mushrooms one time and wow, they were like "you think you know us huh?" BAM! The spice gives as you are ready, always moving forward showing you as you are ready to break through from one cocoon into another.

Haha...too funny, LOL! :) When I started adding the caapi leaf, it made the initial rush much less intense so as a newbie I was less afraid going in, and would kind of do a session somewhat willy-nilly. But you have an excellent point...as I've progressed, my sessions now run a TON more energy through me consistently and I find I HAVE to be more selective about the details before going in (making sure my energy level is good, proper foods eaten prior in case purging required, etc.)

Crexx - sounds like you found a good method...congrats! I always vape my cannabis so I'm not very good at taking big tokes of smoke - but that's about the only negative I've found with including cannabis in the spice sandwich (lots of smoke.)

Next time you go in, maybe you should put a "Meditating" sign on the door :p

I still havent broken through, so I plan to do that towmorrow on a set of 4 screens with a screen on top of the spice also with a little ash on top.

-hopefully a breakthrough, but if not I will be making changa with cappi leaf when it arrives in a few days.:)
