I was working in the neuro-science lab, till some years ago, where I had the opportunity to use f.e. portable eeg (also the solid ones, which you can use while sleeping), sLORETA and other fancy tools. Unfortunately I didn't vape DMT / smoke changa at this time.

Still, we had a lot of fun with other "special" conditions in our "leisure time".
