 research salvia on this site and others... salvia is legal and is available in head shops (except for a few states) and online (except for a few states).
What else is immediately available? I don't know.

Newbies only have four topics to post in ("First Steps" seemed best)... this newbie has been researching salvia for a couple months, with much to share about my years working with lucid dreaming and OBE tricks, which may help many.

As for other legal herbs for sale online, I've also found Krotom and morning glory seeds (but I know little about them)... I'm looking forward to DMT, but that's gonna take time and chemistry lessons.

Again... appreciating this site and the experiences shared.

kratom is not a psychedelic.

morning glory seeds, 'san pedro' cactus, and salvia divinorum can be found in most areas/nurseries...i wouldnt buy salvia from a headshop personally, but that's just me.

www.erowid.org - click on 'plants and drugs'. sounds like you need to do a lot more research ;)

I would've thought 'First Questions for Information' was the most obvious place, no?

at higher doses kratom can be very psychedelic

cool, i didn't know that!

what sort of 'psychedelic effects' does it have, or what else would you compare it's high doseage effects to?

i experimented with lower doses, and didnt care for it much.

I dont know if others have a totally diffrent reaction to salvia but everyitme I have done it in the past I feel like 1000 needles are poking my skin. It is always a negative experience. Anytime I tried using it as a base for my spice it would definately color the experience more twoards the negative. Ive tried many sources and concentrations and I have never had a good experience from it. I dunno it might effect others completely diffrently but it seemed to me like a desperate mans high.

Not at all! Salvia rarely produces the euphoria that is so common with DMT, but for me it has almost always been a very good experience. It’s quite different, but every bit as intense.

It’s much more “human” than DMT. Entities almost always take the form of human beings, relatives, etc. in familiar earthly settings. (DMT entities and environments for me are beyond alien.)

If ego-death is what one seeks, then salvia is actually a better substance. On moderate and higher doses of salvia, complete ego-death is almost guaranteed. You won’t know who you are, what you are, or how you got that way.

I have rarely felt the pins-and-needles sensation that seems to be common with salvia, but I often feel extreme body morphing – folding, twisting, pulling flattening, etc. Some find these sensations uncomfortable, but I think they’re fascinating. And it doesn’t stop with body morphing – it often proceeds to becoming an inanimate object. Fascinating indeed.

Be careful with salvia. Keep in mind this is my personal experience. I went into salvia after trying DMT and the experience really turned me off for a while. It felt like my entire body was being poked and torn away mechanically. I would say it made me feel like an escalator, I was scrolling along through time and my body was a constant loop of bumps and dips...

It always leaves my body feeling sick and toxic, and it affects my logical processing in a bad way for a while afterward. I also find that I can't follow the trip at all. With DMT I'm at least semi conscious of the events but with salvia it's a complete detachment that you can't really meditate on or follow consciously. Hard to learn from I would say.

The experience itself was wonderful and eye opening yes, but I didn't care for the after effects or the rough ride. So try it, but don't expect it to be anything close to the DMT experience.

I have the exact opposite experiences, interesting.
