Hey there all.
Having heard about jungle juices and wanting to make some kind of equivalent with ingredients from the UK  , I developed two recipes (which I'm sure aren't really new due to how amazing they are...but whatever).
The first thing I needed to do was find a DMT containing plant (or at least a DMT analogue)native to the UK. Naturally, I went back to the lovely Libby for the magicks. So psilocybin was going to act as my dimethyl-tryptamine (allbeit not really the same thing).
The next thing to try and do was find plants or fruits containg MAOis...which was surprisingly easy.
The two sources of MAOis growing in the UK had to be St.John's Wort and blackcurrants.
I have not yet tried a recipe with bot MAOi sources...but I don't think that that's entirely necessary from an experimantal point of view...do you?
Right so here's the first recipe...
St.John's Tadpole Soup
Serves 1 - 4
Ingredients:
150 freshly picked Psilocybe semilanceata (Liberty Cap)
9 caps of St.John's Wort
4 pints (imperial) of warm water
1. Turn on the hob (if it's gas then put it on the lowest heat possible, if it's electric then a low heat is recommended depending upon how good your hob is...if you're outside and cooking on a fire then dig out a shallow pit with a spade and shovel some glowing embers into it and wait until it's got a comfortable heat radiating from it)
2. Put an adequately sized saucepan (military mess tin if using a fire outside) on your heat source. place the mushies inside and pour on the warm water.
3. Stir occasionally and wait until the brew looks gloopy. Then add the St.John's Wort.
4. Continue minding the brew, stirring it occasionally and ensuring that the brew doesn't boil vigorously (if at all). Continue doing this for as long as you wish but I recommend a good hour at the very least.
5. Your brew should resemble loads of tadpoles in a slightly gelatinous greenish-black gloop
6. Turn on whatever your preffered music is (if any) and serve.
This stuff took effect in less than half an hour for me and my friend. We drank a quarter each and left the other half for top-ups later ^^ It's powerful stuff ^^ We watched Harry Potter and nearly pissed ourselves laughing ^^ We hadn't been getting on lately, so it was a real bonding session for us :d
The second recipe is as follows...
Wytches Brew with Blackcurrant
Serves: 4-6
2 cups (imperial) of blackcurrant cordiale
5 pints of warm water
300 Psilocybe semilanceata
Follow steps 1 and 2 of the St.John's Tadpole Soup recipe
3. Stir the brew occasionally and mind that it doesn't boil for about an hour and a half (or however long you wish so long as it looks gloopy and smells delicious)
4. Take your cooking vessel off of the heat source and whilst stirring slowly pour in the blackcurrant cordiale.
5. carefully pour the brew into a teapot and pour the brew through a tea strainer or seive into clay goblets (just for that extra magic touch )
We decanted some of this stuff into a bottle and kept it in the fridge for three weeks (with the mushies from the teapot) before we had the last of it. This stuff is quite powerful. I felt like I was in several places at once (each of these places was miles apart). A very colourful and worthwhile experience indeed.
God bless, and enjoy :d
