Who ever said it was unknown? While I do not deny that most of the afterlife is unknown to us all, the Bible promises only everlasting joy and pleasure in the presence of God... to those in the beloved (Christ). To those who follow the coarse of this world, eternal damnation. Why should we take the Bible at its word? Well, this word "dogma" that keeps getting thrown out, does not fit Christianity, which is supported by a plethora of arguments that stand in the face of secular scrutiny, unlike any other religion.
