Underwhelming first try

So last night was my cousins first try. Based on the hope of an extraction of .75% from the bark he had, he expected to have a good amount of spice. When he weighed it, there wasn't a ton there. So he and his friends - all first timers - split up into 50mg doses. My cousin went first since he made it and wanted to be sure nobody was going to get sick from it.
What they realized after two people's reaction was the 50mg was nowhere near enough. So the remaining two people got double that, with the very last person breaking through - big time!

Her experience was of a "crazy orgasm" not in the physical sense but spiritually. Metallic ribbons of shimmering light, fantastic colors, lots of people who were all very happy (or beings rather than people) but off in the distance. Also the feeling of being in a pyramid of energy. She also had intense heat all over her body and at one point actually came out of the trip to see that her crotch wasn't somehow on fire it got so hot. Something also told her to remember to breathe, she thinks she was holding her breath.

So one / four made the trip and now we all want to go back!!!

They used a vaporgenie (original model) and basically it seems like filling that with as much as possible on a tiny bed of herbage is the way to go.
 
Smoking crystal can be a hassle so I recommend mixing the crystals with some herbs (see:DMT Handbook page 23) handling tiny crystal can lead to fuck ups when trying to reload while tripping.
I have tried using blue lotus with dmt to great effect using a bong and a torch lighter, the trip was mindblowing in the visions and smoking it with herb was so much easier because I was able to take it all in one hit also the smoke itself was not harsh but very smooth went in like air.

The leaf bed method could be very similar but I haven't tried it so I don't know.

I hope you'll trip harder next time because 50mg of almost pure crystal should be enough and I warn you to tread carefully do not underestimate this drug.
 
Me and some of my friends had the same problem when we were first trying, it's probably your smoking technique, it can be very difficult to get all of the dmt. The way that's worked best for me is using a bubbler with some herb on the bottom and nothing on top of it. I've tried the machine, without much success, and a pip with some success. But the bubbler has worked the best by far. The first hit I hold the lighter high and lower it until all the dmt melts. The next two hits I try to get it close to the herb and let it rip, this seems to work the best for me. The machine works for most people so you could try giving that a shot, good luck with whatever way you go with.
 
50mgs should be plenty for just about anyone to break through. The vaporgenie is great, but unless you use a bunch of screens (like 7 or 8) and a leaf bed, it will bleed through. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that you've got at least a couple of breakthrough doses pooled up underneath the screen. Try taking off the top and hitting it one time.

THanks, my cousin used 6-7 screens and a bed of herbs but I will have her check that out - it could very well be there's some missing goodness in there!! The bed was fuller for the 4th person who did breakthrough so that makes sense if that's what happened to the first 3...
