Unexpected breakthrough

Rising Star
I'm in the middle of an MHRB Noman's (thanks for the great TEK ;) ). The first two pulls weren't too good, but last two beaker came out of the fridge having fluffy DMT-snowballs floating in their naphtha-filled bellies.

I was eager to assay the batch and couldn't wait the end of the extraction (I do it rather slowly to squeeze the last tiny bit of precious material out of thebark).

I took a scrap of white crystals from the bottom of the petri dish I used to evaporate the naphtha (I wash the freeze-precipitated crystals with warm naphtha, so this is a quasi-recrystallization). I measured 18mgs and dumped into my glass pipe.

I reached for a lighter and begun to heat the pipe. When the familiar white smoke appeared, I inhaled. It burnt my throat a bit, but wasn't too bad at all.

I held the smoke in and thought: "Hm... that's wasn't too much, let's take another hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiwwwwwwooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!"

...and blasted off instantly. I was launched like a plasma beam from a space cannon. I vaporized maybe the half of the measured dose, so this was totally unexpected. I put down the pipe onto the morphing alien stuff that once was a table.

I panicked. It was very frightening.

"Music" - thought - "that helped the last time".

I grabbed the mouse and opened the menu at the computer. The icons looked like familiarly alien-rune-writing shaped nonsense. It seemed to be hopelessly complex to locate the music player and load something calming. I begun to float away totally-dissociatively, my arms were made of rubber, the air was thick, digital rainbow-fractal-honey.

I put my hands around my skull to prevent it being totally sucked into this another dimension. Tried to hang on tightly to this universe. The more I tried, the more panic and fear flushed my brain.

I closed my eyes.

Hyperspace came alive. I was in a room with a complex machinery that has non-circular (cog?)wheels on it, they morphed and turned, they made of colors and light. I looked into the machine and I felt amazement.

I calmed down.

The panic has gone, only a bit oh-my-gosh-i-made-it-ish feeling remained.

I stared at the bright colorful world for a while.

I opened my eyes.

I was grateful, and soaking in sweat. Seriously, like I was tripping in a sauna on salvia.

I really screwed up this one. 18mg is not a light dose, at least it wasn't for me this time. All the set-setting-haveasitter stuff was missing, so I guess I learned it in the hard way.

Now I feel healed, and calm, DMT released so many fears and anxiety, it almost smashed me to the ceiling of the universe. At least I vented these hidden feelings. At last.

How wonderful to hear about your experience, thanks for sharing! But you know, if you were able to access your computer after smoking, you didn't break through... Very far from it. ;)

^ Yep.

You've only scratched the surface -- believe me. If my experiences are any measure of the norm, large doses should not be feared -- keep trying!

It sounds like it was scary for you until there was no you left. Sounds like a good trip.

Thank you all for your guidance, next time I'll be more cautious. Thank you, really. :)

There is nothing like that first, sweet moment of success. Congratulations!

Next time, prepare setting a bit more, and go deeper.

Hmm. I don't know if "cautious" is really the right word. That suggests an attempt to try and get a handle on the trip. You just need to trust that DMT will not harm you, let go of the reigns, and let 'er rip.

By "cautious" I mean preparing the set/setting more carefully, I know a can't "handle" this stuff. :)

The best part of it was when I "let go", so obviously the preparation for "letting it go" will be the proper precaution. I guess. ;)

Yeah, that sounds about right. The less you dwell on preparation, the better, IMO. Just make sure the set and setting are cool, and jump right in.
