I implied from the note I read that it was impossible to accurately measure the goo because of equipment/tools that were available to her. The jar pictured was a 1/2 pint jar, to put things in perspective.     The jar had Bestine poured into it to see if it would absorb spice out of the goo, as mentioned above, then, after being allowed to completely dry of Bestine (that went into it's own jar) , the above pic was taken.     THEN, VM&P Naptha was poured into the jar, sealed, and heated externally with tap water.   Again, no visible absorption occurred, but the Naptha that was exposed to the goo (which was still sticking gooily to the small collection jar), was placed into it's own small jar and CFC was initiated, with no further results found on the internet.    One would assume that the Texan had, at the time of the intercepted writing, two 1/2 pint jars in a freezer, both having been exposed to the goo, allowing an eventual side-by-side comparison of what, if anything, was being pulled from the goo into the requisite solvent.
