I found a message from an unknown Texan indicating that there appeared to be some spice present in BOTH of the two solvents that were poured into the goo jar and heated. There was evidently a ratio very similar to the earlier pictured examples-- a small single blotch of whitish crystal in the OMS, and quite a few tiny, more "traditional" crystals on the bottom and sides of the Bestine jar.    There was mention that the jar containing Bestine had a bit of debris/lint/dust from the goo that had been blown into the flat dish that the OMS was originally evapped from, and that the debris made it difficult to accurately gauge the amount of legitimate spice present... but this mixture would eventually be heated to re-liquefy the spice, and filtered through a coffee paper while warm to remove the dust and debris, and would then be re-CFC'd to get the unencumbered crystal.     ***  Very interesting, seeing as it didn't at all look like there was any absorption/dissolving of the goo-sludge from the bottom occurring. It appears that there is in fact some spice present in the goo, and probably still more locked into the gummy sludge, seeing as what is viewable now had to have been leeched from only surface contact with the goo, since it didn't appear to dissolve at all...    A post-script mentioned that a sixth--and probably final-- pull: a quart of Bestine-- was introduced into the lye solution gallon, where it would be heated externally with tap water only, and removed after an hour of exposure. Just to see.    The conclusion, thus far, appears to be that Bestine is in fact best, producing extremely clean, high-quality spice, with almost no taste at all when smoked... and that VM&P Naptha does in fact do a far superior job as compared to OMS-- at least in this case, and under these documented conditions-- very close to the Bestine... (though one can't be sure that it's not truly as good as the heptane as these pulls were not equal /sequential )    To review:    1st and second pull: Bestine    3rd: OMS    Fourth: Bestine    Fifth: VM&P    Sixth: Bestine    There were no further updates I could find...
