urgent help please, spice in pot of water

hello. im in the middle of doing a heat bath when what do ya think happend? the shot glass broke and about a gram of spice is in a pot of water lol. right now im boiling down the water on medium in hopes to evap it down to a small quantity then put naphtha in to pick it up. does this sound like it will work? what should i do ? lol thanks.

I am not 100% sure only because i have not had this happen to me.

How hot was your heat bath?

One thing i could say try get all of your liquid in a jar or container, idk how hot you have it, hopefully the water and napth with seperate, and the napth will grab the spice, but again idk if this will work, but wouldn't hurt i guess.

after it separates whatever you have to separate the two i guess, my best bet would be a siphon with a tube.

the water is almost evaped all the way down. i guess im gonna let the last little bit evaporate at room temp then hopefully then i can grab it all with some warm naphtha. lets just hope it didnt burn .

i'll keep posting in case somebody is interested lol. so i boiled the water down to nothing then warmed up some naphtha and added it to the pot. the spice wasnt dissolving so i scooped up the resin with a spoon then put it into a shot glass with naphtha for another heat bath. im left with a yellowish glob of playdough which dosent dissolve in naphtha. could this be n-oxide dmt?

If I had a spice in water I would add some lye in it and than pull the spice out with naphtha.

So did any the spice actually dissolve in the water or did it just melt due to the heat of the water?

I have cleaned very dirty spice with plain cold water before and not seen any obvious loss, all I have done in those cases is just decant the water and then dry the spice.

Maybe you could do a mini A/B on it by adding some vinegar to the water to allow it to dissolve (converting it into dmt acetate), add base, and pull with naphtha. There might be an easier way though.

do this if spice is not dissolved in water if it is that just add lye as I said and pull it with naphtha

Astral, i hope you get it back would hate to see a g of spice go to the pot.
