Anyone ever try to pull crystals from V. Root?
I know it's sold in stores by tincture, pill or shredded root.

I often have a cup of tea before bed. Helps me mellow out and get a good night sleep.

Was wondering if you could make freebase VR, or if it would be effective if smoked.
 
Valerian needs to be full spectrum to work efficiently. Some of the actives are volatile so you can't crystallize them properly at room temperature. Tincture or tea is the way to go. Pills are usually very weak. Whole root is preferred if making tincture or tea. Smell is an indicator of strength, the more smelly it is the stronger it is.

Pretty sure you cannot make any reasonable freebase out of it, but IDK if it could be smoked in some form. Maybe.
