Valerian root isolations

I've been curious lately about isolations and or extracts from valerian root. Any one know much about screeching it. Close in nature to Valium.
 
you can't..the isolated compunds seem to have far less activity of the phytocomplex (full spectrum substances) as many other plants,it hasn't a specific active but many that works togheter
 
Okay but so maybe trying to figure a Full spectrum extract, like we have when doing alcoholate tincture.
I know this worked well for me (this tincture was bought from pharmacy).
Erythrina Mulungu is very interesting too in this regard Dorge.
 
I can buy velarian root extract at Whole Foods...it's just a standardized extract...actually I'm not even sure it's standardized.

So yes you can certainly do a full spectrum alcohol extraction...

As for valerian, I would extract it in an ethanol tincture.
Maybe brewing it in hot (not boiling) water for 20 minutes, stop heating, adding a third of strong ethanol (like 90°) in the tea leave to cool down.
Strain filter the liquid ( a 40° ethanol tincture).
 
yeah it could work but asaik the teas is more efficent than any tincture,maybe if you overdose the tincture will be more effective but don't know,not all P.E give better results if overdosed

That's an excellent paper on mulungu I'm going to try that!
 
I like to try them all.
I love soothing tea and dreamherbs and herbal sleepaid.
I'll look into Corydalis too.
 
Ktbotanicals has a 95% crystalline extract swim going to try soon as it comes. It's active at 100mg smoked... If that's effective SD they say swim wants to figure out their tek.
 
How can you smoke it?? SWIM smoked valerian root once, and ended up extremely tired!! the smoked effects are very different than oral doses, smoked valerian root sucks!

No Eralnik, we were refereing to Corydalis THP extract here, not smoking valerian root !
 
The THP should be coming in the mail. It's vaporizable so swim will give a full report.
