Vaporgenie - Glass Sherlock - Australia

dazultra

Esteemed member
Does anyone know if buying a Vaporgenie—Glass Sherlock from Australia is possible? Australia has banned all vapes and their imports. I was wondering if it was possible to buy this, as it's more of a pipe. I'm just concerned because it's got Vape in the name. I've emailed Vaporgenie but haven't received an answer. Thanks!

Salutations,

In Québec/Canada we got politicians suffering from severe anal retention facing ma$$-media cameras but yours still beat mine by an order of magnitude:

Heat-not-burn products - Australian Tobacco Harm Reduction Association
« Heat-not-burn products are not currently legal in Australia. »

Apparently your opportunity window is going to feel even more restrictive during the first half of 2025. Correct me if i'm wrong, advertizing was already banned in July, which doesn't help a bit. In addition you'll need a medical prescription for smoking cessation of nicotine (as dependency management), e.g. only therapeutic use is authorized while it has to be re-usable (not disposable), must comply to regulation and will be supplied by selected pharmacists who could obtain some suitable papers... In short i'd say you'll have to think of alternatives. Besides, what's the intended substance anyway?

Maybe you should waste no time anymore and immediately begin to investigate "medicinal" cannabis instead of "vapes", the later being associated with addictive habit-forming nicotine. How about moving to Toronto/Ontario? They complain about having too many $toner stores...

Good day, have fun!! ☮️

They ship to Australia because but do recommend that you get express shipping. Also if you are going to invest in a vapor genie I would recommend you get the glass Sherlock, but if it’s difficult jou can source individual parts and use them to DIY a comparable product. If I remember correctly there should be a thread here on that subject.

Good luck and hope you get a response from vapor genie

OZ bongs was selling them. I'd email them, sometimes it won't be advertised if they're waiting on them to come in. They were also really affordable compared to ordering one direct from USA iirc.

In any case have a Plan-B: seriously consider acquiring a set of two!

Also, i can't but notice that VaporGenie won't accept orders from New Zealand specifically because it prohibits importation, which doesn't look good considering your intro...

Australia has banned all vapes and their imports.

Legal exceptions won't last long, act now with this clear warning in mind before the transition is over: « It is a requirement of U.S. and International law to declare all goods shipped internationally », so even if your money order is properly received and processed there's still a risk of VG's parcel being intercepted. Besides, my search for an australian reseller of PMI's iQOS Iluma (an advanced smoker induction-driven "HnB" item, though NOT intended for cessation...) just failed, for example. Yet that's all about nicotine, imagine cannabis even without THC in it, e.g. CBD only! Or DMT for that matter... Which is why i'm curious about your target use, in turn determining an eventual preference for convection and/or conduction.

Interesting topic, keep us posted!!

P.S.:

I was browsing around searching for informations related to Ispire's Wand and noticed an australian web site displaying this disclaimer:

« Adhering to the new vape laws, all devices must go through a pharmacy channel. If you'd like assistance finding a pharmacy, please leave a message on our live chat. »

The web site having some "Official Pharmacy Stockists" list i read further and counted 51 items with com.au domains, though most products are actually marked as "Sold Out"...

Pushing it a little more on Google i also found titles as this one:

Australians now need a prescription to buy a vape under new ‘world-leading’ law (2024-Jul-1)

World-leading?? Sounds retrograde to me!

Ha ha yeah it's a bit crazy here we have a nanny state government. I'm looking for a good solution for DMT, I've got a vape but haven't managed to blast off yet with that. I might have to start looking into a plan b, thanks for your reply!

I'm almost tempted to try and order, it's the Glass Sherlock I'm looking for mainly for DMT, I take it that it's good for weed too? Thanks!

Thank for the Tip, I've just emailed them

It's bloody crazy, vapes from pharmacies; I don't think the pharmacies are too happy with this; it's not world-leading at all. Yes, my aim is to get something for DMT; one hit blast off if possible.

...my aim is to get something for DMT...

This crucial detail will enable others to assist much better than i can. IMO conduction heat seems more suitable for this present goal, so that's why i mentioned « heat-not-burn » solutions. Don't forget at least 51 .com.au "Official Pharmacy Stockists" are prepared to examine your medical prescription after they engaged into bureaucratic procedures, now obligated by law to request proof that you're after some nicotine-smoking cessation tool intended as therapy, all for the "world-leading" management of your craving dependency, euh...

;)

Thanks, heat, not burn, seems to be the way to go. Yes 51 .com.au ;)

Decided to place an order and the vaporgenie got delivered to Australia today with no problems. 3 weeks from order to delivery using the cheaper shipping option.

Really now? Thats so ridiculous. I heard aus is a bit of a 'testing ground' for these ridiculous laws. About ten years ago they were trying out some whacky 'anti hate speech laws' which indeed seem to have made their way to the other commonwealth countries now! 🤢 But it's not what you say but how you say it. But the vape thing is just another 'brick in the wall' it seems. That's seriously whack. Big government wanna regulate everything!

We live in a nanny state here! It's falling apart, though, as the black market has gone wild, and pharmacies aren't complying with selling stock as they are worried about organised crime—stupid law makers.
