Very First Human Trials Using Cannabis to Treat Brain Cancer

Migrated topic.
Thank you for sharing :)

I just really hope this isn't some bogus company that's supposed to tell the masses cannabinoids do not cure cancer so people will stop experimenting with it.

I just find it VERY hard to trust the pharmaceutical industry :p

Thanks for posting that, Aegle.

I feel the same, but I have high hopes for this study and the attention that may come with it.
(hopefully attention within the US)

It's my understanding that the cannabinoids of interest work to stop cancer cells from spreading at lower concentration of cannabinoids, and induce apoptosis of cancer cells at higher concentration of cannabinoids.

Cannabinoid & Cannabis studies, documentaries and the like. <-- check it out.

^ some of the studies attached within that thread were funded by GW Pharmaceuticals.

I'd like to see some human trials with cannabinoids alone at high concentrations to treat various cancer types; varying cannabinoid combinations, dosage schedules, how it was administered, and dosage.

Indeed I am always skeptical of pharmaceutical companies, hopefully these trials might ignite further pharmaceutical research into the medicinal properties of Cannabis.

I am really fascinated to see the results of these human trails, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Thank you for sharing the link to the Cannabinoid & Cannabis studies, documentaries and the like thread as it is extremely comprehensive as well as The Dual Effects of THC on cholangiocarcinoma cells PDF. It is greatly appreciated, I'm going to thoroughly enjoy reading them.

Yea I hope that this will be a un biased study but we will see when the studies are done and I hope it proves that it at least helps. I'm rele loving all the cannabis research stuff going on here lately, has def. re sparked my love for the plant and its uses.
