very interesting introspective moment

Migrated topic.
Me and my friend came across an interesting theory the other day whilst dabbling into a bit of meditation.
I came to a dark place where lights iluminated my surroundings and represented each and every molecule in my body and in the universe. I then saw planets earths role in the scheme. We are but an atom in the galactic cosmos, we are bit a proton to the sun, our nucleus. We are a single element playing a role in a body, our spirit.
What are peoples view on the theory that we are but a infinitely small particle in the universe. Very small

Theory? No, it’s fact.

The observable universe contains more galaxies than there are grains of sand on all the beaches of the world, and I read not long ago that physicists have good reason to believe that the “whole” universe is 10^23 times as large as the observable universe.

We are very small.

There is a classic speculation in metaphysical circles that takes the concept "as above, so below" into the cosmos. According to this theory, the space between the stars is related to the space between atoms in matter. This view relates our sun and planets to the nucleus and subatomic particles in an atom, and by extension, life on earth to possible life on, say, a proton. Taken in the other direction, our solar system might be an atom in matter in a larger universe. So...we might have little earths built into the atoms in our thumb nail, while we ourselves might inhabit an atom in the thumbnail of some larger being.

I am no scientist and do not know enough to believe or not believe in this. But it is certainly amusing to think about.

Related, but not entirely on subject: There are no walls, floor, ceiling or any other boundaries to the universe. There is no end. Trying to wrap my mind around that concept is consistently entertaining.

It is interesting to think and whenever I come across the theory in a right state of mind, my imagination CAN wrap around the concept of no end. Contininuation is constant rebirth. Its beautiful. To know that not only time but space too is infinite is to leave it to the artist to fill.
