I'm bit lazy when it comes to exercise. I've always been lean and never really worried about exercise. Well, now I'm 60 and wishing I could still do 15 chin-ups.
Anyway, my wife has a sturdier build and has been a lot better at taking care of herself. She walks 2-3 miles daily and exercises with weights regularly. This Christmas she asked for a "vibration plate", which I'd never heard of before, but was happy to buy since she asked for it.
A vibration plate is a motorized platform that you stand on while it vibrates. It's about as long as a skateboard & twice as wide. It vibrates at various speeds & feels like riding a skateboard over a rough surface. At the highest settings it almost feels "electrical". (They are priced from $100 to over $500. I chose a popular one for $250.)
Since you're standing on it the vibrations are strongest in your legs, but also radiate into your torso and up your spine. It gives your muscles a good workout, but also has many other benefits. NASA uses vibration plates to help restore bone density of astronauts returning from space missions. The vibrations improve oxygen/blood flow throughout the body and you can feel a tingling / itchy sensation for a while afterward in your belly & thighs. Digestion is also improved and it's common to have a BM after use. It's incredible to feel the vibrating energy activating and circulating so many bodily functions & fluids. It's really invigorating & refreshing.
I really enjoy using the vibration plate. It's like exercising without doing anything, which is great for a lazy guy like me. I feel a lot more energetic now. In only 3 months it's made a very noticeable improvement in my wife's figure. She's lost over 2" in the waist and about 10% body weight (she's been dieting also to lower cholesterol). I'm really happy for her and so glad we tried a vibration plate. We've been recommending to all our friends.
