Vipassana leading upto my first DMT trip

whatisred

Esteemed member
So it has been a few months prior to my first DMT trip since I had gotten into serious spirituality.
And one of the practices I had gotten into a few weeks prior was Vipassana meditation where the main objective is to focus on the breath. And the main guy behind it (Goenka) stated in a video - "The breath is the truth". The way he said it with such confidence plus my eagerness, I was totally consumed by that statement. I was like "my god! This is the ultimate truth. Anytime I'm in an uncomfortable situation I will just focus on my breath"
And so anyways, a few weeks later I'm in my first DMT trip. After the rocket cannon launch, I'm in a pitch dark space. And few seconds after, I'm trying to make sense of it, and some sort of uneasiness starts to develop. So I'm like "All good! Ill just focus on my breath" and ha! There was no breath to focus on lol - the sensation of breath had totally vanished. 😄

Touché DMT entities. Touché

They do have a peculiar way to make you realize how your preconceived notions and plans are, on the grand scheme of things, utterly ridiculous, don't they? 😆 Still, I find focusing on the breath a very effective way to ease a rough journey in many cases. If you go deep enough to lose the notion of breath, then you don't really need to care about any of the other stuff, do you?

If you’re looking for an anchor, mantra works wonderfully. The key thing is regular practice so it naturally sort of comes up when you want to repose yourself. Vipassana right before dosing is also a great choice in my experience.

I would like to offer one additional insight, if I may; don’t go overboard on the serious in your “serious spirituality” 🖤

Safe travels

Yeah.. That was the main theme behind the post 😅

I gave this another thought..and I somewhat disagree on that..
Just to clarify what I meant by "serious spirituality" was me trying different meditative and breathing techniques, listening to philosophical and religious lectures and reading spiritual books as opposed to casual meditation now and then.
If what you meant by "serious spirituality" is sitting crossed leg and meditating for 12 hours a day, then yes you're right..

Needless to say, this nonchalant attitude towards spirituality will quickly dissipate when you come into contact with evil or negative entities/people.

But I get what you're saying. What the notion is that people who take spirituality seriously acquire merit and goto heaven and enjoy and exhaust those merits and are reborn into this earth hell whereas the person who takes spirituality 'seriously enough' and uses those practices to purify their heart and mind(and body) and seek knowledge rather than heaven will achieve true liberation free from rebirth. And the payoff is orgasmic happiness ever after. Sure, you, for fun world like to be reborn on earth but that then will be your choice and not forced. True spirituality is contemplation on the divine. And that's why DMT nexus is a superior forum, because you and we are contemplators.

A healthy scepticism in spirituality and a liberal attitude towards materiality is beneficial , but never would I take a casual approach towards spirituality after what I know now. True victory is when spirituality becomes fun and enjoyable.

A healthy balance might seem desirable, but eventually we have to buckle down and seriously commit. If you're getting by anyways, that probably means you're enjoying the fruits of your hard work from a previous life and that is why you're easily going along with the flow.

Behind all the humour and illusions of the psychedelic gods, they take spirituality very damn seriously. They might advise you to quit smoking, drinking, opioids or even psychedelic drugs themselves, however I think no real and pro-positive entity is ever going to tell you to take it easy on a spiritual level (unless maybe if you're doing it the wrong way or for the wrong reasons). Spirituality is the currency after death and the true currency of reality and the open secret seems to be that if you do it the right way for the right reasons - eventually you stop 'paying' instead only 'receive' the benefits perpetually. (But at the that level there might be no concept of a reciver and a benefit at all, so that's another thing to think about 😁)
