Volcano vaporizer v.s Glass vapour genie?

Migrated topic.

Has anyone tried both the GVG and the Volcano for vaping spice? Swim owns a GVG but has finds the vapour a little too hot and sometimes coughs it all out before it has a chance to work its magic.

Would the Volcano remedy this problem?

I think it would remedy excessive cash.
The VG's are about as good as it gets. It all depends on your technique and method (eg. screens, or herb base, copper scrubber etc).
Keep the lighter further away, and use slow steady breathing.
I have a da buddah vape, and much prefer the control I have with the VG for DMT.

Definitely breathe in more while vaporizing in your GVG to control the temperature or be less aggressive with the heat, aka, move your heat source further out a little bit from the top of the GVG.

I intend to buy a Volcano if and when I ever decide to use cannabis more regularly in the future. But for DMT, I think the GVG would probably be more efficient and easier to use. I have heard of people vaporizing DMT in a volcano, but to me it just sounds unnecessarily complicated. Plus there's the fact that the Volcano costs several hundred dollars!

I agree, if the vapor is too hot, then you may be holding your heat source too close. Spice that has been properly vaporized in the GVG shouldn't be much more harsh (if at all) than taking a breath of fresh air :)

I agree with previous posters, GVG for DMT (and just back off the lighter if its too hot), volcano if you want weed (though volcano is pretty noisy I`d try to find a more silent vaporizer with a direct inhalation method instead of bags).

Really? I don't remember it being very noisy... Of course it has been years since I've used a Volcano, maybe I just don't remember... That's probably an indication of it's efficiency!
