Used the blab tek again, & used the fasi method to salt out the limo, got a good yield 6grm, then tried to wash as the last batch of changa had a very slight limo taste to it.
So I used the method in the FAQ
1) Redisoved the fumarate yield in naphtha,
2) Added 5 grm sodium carbonate to 100 ml clean water mixed this into the solvent,
3) Separated the solvent,
4) Evaped the remaining aqueous solution,
Now have a very much reduced yield 3 or 4 grm, there is also a crystal formation in the evaped naphtha

I thought the yield would not be so drasticly effected. did I do anything wrong ?
is the crystal in the naphtha likley to be my missing dmt?

any pointers appreciated

Method mentioned in the FAQ? which one?

Naphtha?!

I think you got something very wrong there bro.. DMT fumarates will NOT dissolve in naphtha, so I dont know how you can say that happned to you.. Plus if you're going through the trouble of using limonene, why using a petrochemical afterwards? The wash is described for DMT FREEBASE, for when people extract using naphtha, not for dmt fumarate. To wash dmt fumarate, you use cold dry acetone or IPA. Wash it before converting to freebase to remove limonene traces.

If your dmt is freebase, then the dmt freebase will be in the non-polar solvent (your naphtha in that case), NOT in your acqueous solution. I suggest you read teks and the FAQ again.

I used the method under the heading ;
Should I wash my spice? in the faq

I see now that I should have just stuck to the wash up method in the blab tek,
but found that method still left a slight taste of limo last time I used it
so thought Id try the nahptha wash to rid the limo flavor though it wasnt that bad in hind sight
think Ill stick to the tek next time,
thanks for the reply endlessness
