That remotely reminds me of a statement once heard on TV5, the french-speaking int'l TV network. Here's the verbatim quote:

Actually i'm not implying that's the case here nor am i even thinking it involves any of us, but this is how memories work sometimes i guess. What i know is that his opinion felt shocking, especially coming from a type of individual representing an intellectual elite in Europe - but that's show-bizz TV after all! I don't recall how i reacted at the time but i do believe i'd just zap it today.
