Hi folks,

With bringing more structure in my life, I’ve decided to plan a few thing to create some peace of mind. Since the DMT-Nexus is one of the most important things I’ve ever been part of, I want to keep doing my best to keep this place pristine.

Due to this I’ve decided to establish a weekly maintenance window, and for as long as this is viable on Saturday. This means you can count on me being online that day, even if only briefly, to take care of the needed administrative tasks.

What this might include:
  • Adjusting or setting up simple things like adding calendar events, creating new chat icons, etc.
  • Forum Software updates, bug fixes and if needed some troubleshooting.
  • Handling any blocking reports or appeals.

If, during the week, you have anything you would like me to look into, then please make a post in this topic!

Kind regards,

The Traveler

Accounts created on the new forum are inaccessible on the old forum (for moderator actions). I'm running into an issue where people I've banned on the new forum are still able to access the chatroom. I either need access to moderator actions on the old forum for accounts created on the new forum, or a way to remove chat rights on the new forum.

Users that want to use the chat are replicated on the old forum, though it seems they are missing one vital part that would enable the mods to moderate those users.

I'll look into it.

@The Traveler I think we had discussed this somewhere else but I can't seem to find it, so I'm gonna post it here - the search engine behaves oddly. When you enter too short of a search term it doesn't return anything even though there should be many results. An example with this would be the word "goo" - it returns nothing, but there are many hundreds of hits that should be returned. Perhaps this is some backend configuration? Either case, if we don't wan't to allow searching for terms shorter than N, an appropriate warning message should show up somewhere or be returned to the user.

Let me know if I can help in investigating/fixing this in any way. :p

Use * after your search term.

Due to forum limitations you can normally not search for words with 3 letters (too many hits), adding a * solves this. 😇
