Welcome information probably from questionarrie missing?

I am aware that the questionarrie does not exist anymore.
It is not about the questionarrie itself but about the useful references linked to it.

Is probably the welcome information from the old forums questionarrie missing?
Also the PDF guide linked under "OHT" is not working there.
Someone in the chat asked for responsible use and I think that this information should be easy/fast locateable.
Most important aspect about this are the references to the "OHT" and the "Health & Security" topics.

Hm, I've searched this forum and the resources for the term "OHT" and nothing shows up at all! (What the heck was it, even?! )

Edit: OK, the search function still clearly leaves something to be desired since the Online Hyperspace Traveller guide can be found in the resources section of the new forum:

The questionnaire was something I missed when I saw the new forum months ago.
I remember that a lot of trolls were in the chat before the migration.
It is interesting for me to observe how the number of trolls reduced since the migration.
Although I do not think that this event correlates with the absence of the questionnaire itself.
But further more then reducing the trolls by the questionnaire it also allows unexperienced people to get experience by spending their time.

IIRC then it costed lots of effort to maintain new members and rank them up.
Makeing the questionnaire optional would be an option but will people then use it?

TBH i miss the questionnaire but after getting used to the absence of it I am unsure.
But I think it is a nice way to make the life of trolls harder.

Yes, and the questionnaire sometimes had the added benefit of being quite entertaining to watch in realtime. It was quite a good way of identifying the low-effort individuals in advance, but it got to the point where it wasn't stopping the more determined and, especially, the repeat trolls in any way.

Try a * after your three letter term, like oht* and see if that works better.

Three letter words are ignored by the search engine since it would cost too much data lookup resources. With the *, you get all parts starting with the term.

Kind regards,

The Traveler

That, coincidentally, is just what I'd been thinking about (mostly where the asterisk belongs), so thanks for the reminder - and I take back my criticism of the current search function (but not the old one 😁 )

What do you all think about adding the 2 Links to a "Welcome new members" sticky thread?
And if it is decided to pull up the questionarrie again then we could add the link to it in that welcome sticky thread?

I liked the questionnaire because as a noob I thought it was important to answer the questions correctly or else I wouldn't get in, so it made me do some research and learn some things I otherwise would not have learned. I think the stuff giving info on what's dangerous to mix with Harmalas was especially useful.
