Oh wait, that's what you folks say...

Anyway, it says essay, but I will have to constrain that or I'll be here all night.
I like to identify myself with a lot of things, most of which being a search for knowledge, the quest for integrity, and simple joys. I also enjoy gardening and watching the skies. I am an avid reader of mystic writings, most recently those of the hermetic tradition, and a firm believer that we are one divided consciousness with no difference other than perspective.

I feel no shame in admitting that I am afraid of many things. That fear gives me purpose. The purpose is to end the fear. Once that is done, well, I pray that I will be made aware of a new purpose by then.

As far as my reason for being here, it started as research into how to quell what I've learned is called pre-flight anxiety. I stayed and lurked for some time, finding many interesting discussions. Finally I found one post that was impossible for me not to respond to, so here I am.

I've smoked DMT twice, not yet breaking through. I have broke through on Salvia, which I might do a write-up of later, and have had extensive experience with Psilocybin mushrooms. I've enjoyed some other hallucinogens but I'm not reading notches off the bed post here.

I feel I've managed to write an essay despite my intent so I'll end here.
Thanks for existing, I look forward to discussing the mysteries with you all.

Welcome(!) timewalker!:)

I hope you continue to learn alot from the Nexus; there really are some sharp minds here and a plethora of stimulating discussions.

As regards fear, I think permanently conquering it may not be possible, but paying alot of attention to ones mindset and the setting can certainly make it manageable.

Once more, welcome aboard!:d

Welcome! I find meditation and harmalas are great for minimising pre-flight jitters. It is a mountain we must all climb when doing these sorts of explorations, don't let it put you off!
