What acid is best for extraction?

Migrated topic.
There are some advantages of citric acid. I assume it won't evaporate as it's usually a solid, hence no shift in PH with a lot of boiling.
I am beginner in extraction. justr did 2. I am using vinegar, and i do long double boil. My yield has not been so great, for 100g of MHRB, I got 0.8g of crystal. (when I see the other post people manage to collect 1.6 up to 2g) Do you think if I use citric acid i might have more yield? (I din't know that vinegar lose acidity during boiling)

Yields depends on a range of factors. The best thing about citric acid is that it doesn't boil off. Citric might help but if the bark usually gives similar results it probably won't be a massive difference with weak bark. Did you grind up the bark finely? Do extra pulls and concentrate them? What temps do you pull at, what kind of solvent? And as always, don't discard anything until the whole extraction is finished.

0.8% yield is far better than nothing, but there may still be room for improvement as Orion already notes above. Have you done more than one pull? Your yield would be quite acceptable for a single pull and could even get tripled if you continue until nmthin more comes out. Discount this if you already done those exra pulls, ofc.
