Water content should not have a big effect on yield.Heat, area and time of contact between organic (naphtha) layer and water layer and the amount of naphtha have bigger effects.What I do is to make 3 soaks at 70-80 C, the combined water extraction is filtered (through cloth), then reduced to about 1/3 the original volume and filtered again (through cotton or cloth).500-750 ml of water for 50g MHRB should be fine.
