My last method was QUITE difficult to digest.

I would like to know what method you all use on fresh cactus.

Extraction or tea or whatever.

Thanks!

I prefer a tea personally. I've never had much luck with extractions, plus I like the full spectrum experience. The tea is just about the worst taste I can imagine but for me it's still far easier than eating chips or even resin.

Not so bad method: despine, deskin, decore, slice into thin stars (under 1/4") and pop into a food dehydrator for 24 hours until you have crispy green potato chips (rotate racks every few hours). Then put these in blender and powderize. Mix with a half cup of pomegranate juice (alternatively, some suggest putting into caps). Some research suggests that between 3-5 Tablespoons of such powder, depending on the strain and species, may get you a set of psychonaut wings, but only you will be able to see them. Know your tablespoons.

Hair on your chest method: blend deskinned/despined/destarred stars that have spent one night in the freezer, and then cook down the resultant green slimeshake, with one lemon or lime or teaspoon of vinegar, stirring constantly,at very light simmer until the foam and bubbles are gone....maybe 15 minutes does the job. It will be darker green at this point. Many say it's harder to keep down when warm, so pop brew in fridge and cool back down to at least room temp. However, many also say it's harder to keep down when cold ......

Cherry-picking method: freeze deskinned/despined/decored stars for one day, then let them melt in a colander, collecting the clear, pale green-gold drippings in a bowl. This can take a few hours. Then pop remaining pulp in old t-shirt and wring out excess juice into bowl. Reserve this leftover pulp and make into, say, a nice pate' in a few days....or just freeze it for future journey, it's still got some actives. Take all drippings, pour into wineglass and convince yourself you're looking at a very fine Chardonnay.

Hey man ,despining , peeling of the outermost layer, and eating all the cactus flesh, raw, and in sticks ,like cucumber. Apparently a bit of salt and lemon juice helps. after drinking tea, this sounds like the best idea to me.

Personally I would say either resin method (no need to despine or whatever, just cut up the whole thing in small pieces). Check the WIKI for more info

Or, full extraction, A/B/A, making many limonene pulls and later salting it.

How do you know how much tea you have to drink or how much resin?
Just experience or calculating suposing a yield depending on the cacti mass???

For resin, I've found that a dose of up to 5g is quite nice empathogenic social dose, and upwards it starts becoming more psychedelic. But to have a real strong trip one might need 12+g. This might vary with different metabolism and cacti sources but I remember talking to quite a few people who got cactus from different places and had a more or less similar dosage level. Better start low first time anyways.

Thanks, i've opted for the resin method.

I have some very potent bridgesii which is said to contain upwards of 2% alkaloids (how much of this being mescaline i am unsure, but i would assume its all proportional.

I have ordered a portable induction heat stove for even heat distribution throughout the pot, and also a 20w heat pad for reducing the final stuff to resin as i would rather not spend more money on a food dehydrator or using an oven.

I've read that the heat pad works very well.
