greetings!

Hey my names boris. I just discovered this site and was hoping for some advice. I really need the experienced words of some travelers. I have been smoking cannabis for about two years now and have been experimenting with lucy. It was without a doubt the most beautiful experience in my life. I was thinking of moving forward with spice but wanted the opinions of those who have gone before me.

a humble student,

Boris.

You are in the right spot my friend. All you need to know before you go can be found here on Nexus. The most important thing is to let go. There is no need to struggle, have control or be afraid. Get relaxed, close your eyes and silently observe. If you don't try and direct or give into fear you are golden.

hi boris, my experience has been that of calling. Even though I try to keep up on psychedelic news in general, I did not find the Nexus until the Spice called again to me. If you're here, perhaps you've heard the calling as well. Try and see! Be cool, be well.

SWIM remembers asking someone what DMT was a while ago before he ever tried it.
As they replied, "I was like OH! So THIS is what all those other drugs were supposed to do!"

I really doubt you'd be disappointed if you try DMT.
It's always a magical experience for SWIM.

What kind of advice are you seeking?
I was kinda wondering...like idk how i would react to whatever it was I was seeing. Will I lose myself? Will it destroy who I am?

We have no idea how YOU will react to what YOU see in the DMT trance. It may be highly personal, it may be archetypal, it may be so many things. How you will react upon the visions, the feelings, the thoughts and the messages the DMT state may or may not give you we have no right nor possibility to predict. How should we know?

But brother/sis, don't be afraid. These questions bare witness of your uncertainty and insecurity with what you are about to do. Of course, this can be healthy as one is careful and one is seeking for advice. But it is very important that you do not force yourself into an experience like this, you must have confidence and safety in your heart and mind. If there is no confidence and safety in your heart and mind I don't think you are ready.. If this is so, I suggest you find those barriers in yourself and figure out where they come from - because they usually do come from something.

Anyway, who am I to "dictate" your path. But my advice stands: Feel safe, friend. And take it nice and slow, there is no rush.

Boris, I think reading some of the trip reports on Erowid will give you a better idea what to expect.

DMT is safe, in terms of it will not physically harm you (unless you have say a heart condition in which case you could be harmed by anything scary including riding a roller coaster). But the mental effects can be unpredictable so I think it is a good idea to go into the experience with good mental balance to return to if a difficult trip occurs. For me, the scariest thing about smoked DMT is that it is possible to forget who you are, or even that you took a drug. Whereas on other psychedelics (unless in exceptionally high doses) you remain very aware that you took a drug and know when to expect that the experience will be over.
