What's in Vm&P? (which one to use)

Hello, Nexians! as I am getting ready materials I am a bit confused as to what is going to work well or not be leaving something weird in final product?

Been doing lots of reading.... so amazed at the quality of help here !

I am leaning towards using naphtha till I get the hang of what I'm doing. When I go to look at products then search msds fact sheet for Kleen strip VM&P ingredients say 95%_100% then don't give as to what the 5 % can be in there? Other option shrewin William brand says 100% then below that says:
ACGIH. TLV. 300ppm
OSHA. PEL. 300ppm


Does anyone know what this means is it going to evaporate? Is it nothing worry about? Do I need to look into sourcing else where's?

Looked at another msds for Bestine and found that PEL stands for permissible exposure limit,

Don't use Klean Strip unless you are going to Re-X with Bestine or a better naphtha. I dunno, the stuff just doesn't look great. Never blasted off on the brown stuff myself but I would just go for a more selective solvent. I just found a decent price on the big jugs of Heptane so I might just pull with that next time or if I'm using ACRB I can use Klean Strip or Xylen on the first pulls and then backsalt and pull with heptane.

Funny ,that stuff seems a little sketch, Sherman's seems like the way to as the ppm data is the amount allowed to be acceptable in the air for an employee to be "safe". I am looking into the heptane just don't know so many mixed results as how well it pulls from base soup, but I have D- limo and then maybe a mini/ A/B then pull with heptane, like you said! . Have you tried heptane for main extraction? Good results? thanks for the reply as I do have the clean strip stuff but not gonna use it . It's taken a lot of work to learn not to judge petrol solvents DMT spirits have been showing me to open my heart as everything is truly part of nature and useful for one thing or another.

Yeah, Sherwin is the way to go. Definitely. I haven't tried pulling with heptane. Don't see why it wouldn't work but I suppose I should definitely look up some reports before giving it a try.

Most report with success and there are plenty that say heat is crucial around 130 F but best to check. As I think the ones with out success are still new to extraction and I bet salt would help a lot! Another thing is heptane is more of a selective hydro carbon as it won't be pulling a varied alkaloid content like naphtha so into turn most report cleaner results....and one user reported extra lye could help if low yields were In countered and bark is of good quality!

Bestine is 100% heptane and easy to source locally most times

Bestine also come in a small can as well so to sample a little before investing can be easy for sure,
