I may differ in my definition from some others here, but ego death for me outside the psychedellic experience tends to draw my attention on the moment & experience rather than myself. Full immersion in the life experience if you will 8)

The benefit for me is basically the magic in everything comes back & simple things bring very much entertainment & happiness, almost as I you were a young child again.
