Exactly, although some of the solution will remain trapped in the filter paper, so rinsing with the principal system solvent (i.e., probably [distilled] water in this particular case) is usually desirable. Exceptions of which to be wary would include cases where the impurities display some level of solubility. Using a minimal volume of chilled solvent then becomes preferable.
Use of suction/vacuum filtration also helps to clear held up solution from the filter system.
