nen88,I spent a whole day searching for this. Half of the sources say 1950 and the other half say the 1950's. It was defintely before 1954, since Merrill Speeter could have easily synthesized it, he was a very skilled chemist.I also believe it could have been synthesized around 1930's as DMT was, but who knows.The mystery remains.
