Where I'm Coming From

Hey Nexus,

A little about me: I love music and music creation, I'm almost always listen to or creating something from any of a number of genres. I like to take influence from all areas and apply it in all the others as well. I do not know what I will ultimately wind up doing with life, or how I will get there, but I'm learning to love all the things that I come across. I play bass, saxophone, and I sing out of tune by myself all the time (and no one's gonna stop me 😁 ), and I'm learning violin, didgeridoo, and harmonica on the side. I don't feel like there are enough video games that you can enjoy when your friends come over, however I love my playstation, and I treat myself to a new game every so often. I've only had 2 successful DMT trips, but the openness and intrigue that I felt in the hours after have resided in me to this day, still encouraging my search for understanding. Here's what I wrote after my most poweful of the two.

"Lines, intricate like a spider's web, but textured. Forms of ridges creating valleys, a topographical rainbow evolving in its own time. The elements move the mountains, changing for an uncertain purpose, traveling as if just to travel. Let what is be. The ridges become veins of life, moving in rhythm but without rhythm to guide them. Each movement is significant, but the cause and purpose are unclear. The colors appear as if indexing the occurrence, making reference of this transition. Do not close your eyes to imagine what better may come. Do not waste the beauty before you. Lines, like a spider's web, but without tenant. Still significant. Still as intricate. Still existing."

During my trip the light was spilling in from the other room (it was around 4pm late summer, great ambient light) making what looked like a river of alien machinery. I've read that these visuals are called "machine elves", well I find the name a fitting match. All of the movement I saw were like that of elves in a workshop. So many, all functioning flawless, each focused on their own accomplishment, providing their own element to the final creation. Without sound to accompany what I saw as a freeflowing factory of color, I was able to let my mind contemplate life from an exterior state and I brought this mindset with me as I began my descent from the high. Afterwards I felt an overabundance of calm, a need or desire to spread that comfort I was feeling myself, whether by sharing the experience with a friend (who said they greatly enjoyed the experience, having had only moderate success on their own previously), or even just insight and wishes of well being.

I thank the Nexus for all of my knowledge, which means I thank all of you.
I also extend my gratitude to all those who have yet to share their wisdom with me.

Welcome to the Nexus RRunner!!!

It's great to hear that you had such good experiences with spice!!

I am also a musician of 15 years. I play guitar, bass, drums, keys, harmonica, and I make electronic music. It is always nice to find people with similar interests come along.

It true the experience has its own rhythmic quality, it just swoops down on your and says, WHY HELLLLOOOO THERE, now watch this, dun dun dun dun dundundun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dundundun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dundundun dun dun dun dun... I have only seen the elves, hindu gods, spirits, aliens, subconscious renderings, once but they were dancing to the rhythm too, just going nuts, running back and forth, chanting. It is an amazing thing. Thanks for the stories.
