Where to get 1 Gallon Glass Jug?

I know I could probably get a lab grade beaker or whatnot from a chemical/lab supply store, but I just don't wanna have anything to do with something like that, plus i"d have to go on a trek for it and I dont own a car, so anyway I was thinking of getting a gallon sized wine jug and using that, would that work? Does the glass need to be reinforced to withstand acids and bases or could i just use that? Also would I need a special lid? and and if not whats a good place I could get a beaker/container that could resist ph 2 and ph 12-13? also could I fashion a lid from something else?

Ebay? They have demijohns... don't know about resistance...
