I am looking for the most effective way to make a brew, but the problem is I only have 4 grams mimosa. I cannot afford to screw this up. Can someone tell me if this method will work with a small amount, or what would you do?
My plan is to let the mimosa soak in some distilled water in the fridge for 3 days. When I am ready, I will turn the stove to the lowest setting. The only little pot I have is old and nasty so I will fill with water and boil my brew inside a mason jar inside the pot.
Once I bring it to a very soft boil, I will strain(using a mesh bag I use for brewing beer). I will add more vinegar/water, and boil/strain again 2 more times. On final strain, I will squeeze the shit out of the mesh bag to get remaining liquid.
Last step, I will put maybe a half gram to a gram of gelatin in the liquid. From what I understand is I don't have to heat it? I just stir until it hardens and sinks to the bottom?
After all the research I have done, I have a terrible migraine so am really hopin I got it right. Would this be the proper way to get a good brew with such little amount? Would any of these steps possibly ruin the alkaloid content? I am a little iffy on the gelatin part.
Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks
Edit: If you find anything wrong with the below method, I do have naphta and sodium hydroxide, but seems kinda pointless for small ammounts
