Hey all, hope you're all well :)

Ok, so last night I had a couple of very light trips, 2x 20mg, just sittin chillin in the living room, being peacefull and just pondering life, the universe & everything. Very nice :)

Then it was getting to bedtime so I packed a ~30mg and headed to bed. Instead of smoking it in 3-4 tokes as normal I decided I was just gonna hit it as fast as I could, lie back and just accept whatever happened. I took the first big toke from the bong, my bedroom begins to shimmer, second toke empties the bong, hold it, hold it, lie back and release.

As soon as I lay back I knew this was gonna be a rough ride, I remember thinking "can't I just go to sleep instead? "Nope, not gonna happen, you aint gettin outta this" my mind said to me. "Ok, let's just try and go with it" I thought.

The kaleidoscopic geometric patterns were pulsing and writhing within my mind with such intensity I thought for sure my mind would be broken.

Eventually I came to some awareness outside of the chaos and managed to open my eyes. Woa, gratefull that was over, glad to be straight again, now I can go to sleep... or so I thought...

I was lying in bed with the right side of my head on the pillow, looking towards the single lit tea-light I had on the bedside table. Suddenly I noticed that out of my right eye (which was the one very close to the pillow) that it seemed to be some sort of huuuuge void going down into the earth. The effect reminded me of having my head on its side in some water with my right eye submerged and my left eye above the surface. My left eye could see all around the room but it looked like I was looking through a fish eye lens. My right eye was looking down into the void. I started trying to get a better look into the void by turning my whole face into the pillow and trying to push my head down into the blackness. Then I suddenly thought to my self how strange I must look if someone was watching me right now, burying my face into the pillow, I snapped out of it and burst out laughing :D

Surely I'm back to 'normality' now? Yes, everything looks normal, ok I'm good.

Suddenly my cat (real cat :)) jumped up on the bed near my feet and started to walk up towards my head. As she came closer she began to become more furry and to grow in size, her coat shifting from colour to colour, her face and body morphing between different beasts, some reminded me of bears, lions, tigers, panthers and others that were completely alien to me. At first I was terrified! This HUGE beast was stalking up my bed towards my face! I closed my eyes for a moment, wishing it would go away, then I opened them again, looked at this spectacular transforming animal in front of me and couldn't help but stare in sheer awe and feel a great sense of love for this creature(s). It almost felt as if I was looking at different forms of the spirit of the cat, or possibly some of her past lives (maybe it was, maybe it wasn't).

After watching the cat for a while I looked down at my arms and realised they were becomming hairier and thicker, I was turning into some sort of hairy animal! Like a werewolf, though it felt more like a werecat rather than a canine of any kind. This only lasted a moment or two then all of the visuals began to wear off.

It's amazing how realistic it all seemed at the time, when the cat was standing near me, grown to 10 times her normal size I reached waaay up and started stroking her back, I could feel all of the fur and everything, to me it seemed like I had to reach half way to the ceiling to reach her back, she was huge, beautiful, terrifying and truely awe-inspiring! :D

nice!

i remember seeing another post where someone had a pharma or aya experience but with a dog and they had the realization that the dog was acting as his shaman. i thought it was quite a nice idea ,whether based in truth or a romanticized concept.

Cats are very perceptive as im sure a lot of us know after encountering them when tripping as well as just day to day life.

i'm assuming that it knew to some degree what it was doing and could sense the mind-frame/less you were in.

"The concept of the animal within is no longer far fetched. All mammals share much of the same genome and humans are closer to cats than was formerly thought. Can we tap into it? The cat? The lion? Can we shift? Can we call upon the tiger totem? Just where do we merge into the cat"

despite the visual eye soar of a web-page, here's a cool article about man's relationship with the ever changing feline.

I usually trip with my pooch by my side. Some of my most amazing journeys to date have been with her as a guiding spirit. She is the best shaman I could ever hope for :)

Interesting article, gonna have to look up some info on spirit guides 'n' suchlike.

She maybe was aware, I really couldn't say, it is known for animals to sense our moods so I'd say it's possible :) She did come over to me at least once and pawed my arm slightly, possibly just saying "hey man, chill out, it's gonna be alright" ;)

Nice :)

I've tripped with her present quite a few times now and she's always great to look at but I've never seen her do anything like that before, I'm still totally amazed by it :D

Dude, animals know what's up. My cat definitely senses the change in my perception and the crazy energy surrounding me. He will come comfort me when I need to be reminded that I am safe and will return OK from my journey, other times he keeps his distance when I could be easily overwhelmed by his presence.

The first time I smoked DMT, my friend's dog climbed on top of me on the come down, and at first, I was not accepting. And then I realized how much I needed that simple affection at the time and it brought me great comfort. She got mud all over my face, neck, and shirt and at the time, it was the best thing that could have happened to me. :D

Yea man I think you may very well be right. :)
I was pretty close to bein overwhelmed when I first saw her, so glad I got past the fear and could just appreciate it :D

Haha nice one, sounds like a nice return :)

I'm now considering buying a cat purely to accompany me on some DMT experiences... Perhaps some place will rent a couple out to me :p

It seems that animals know how to maintain a high level of love that we seem to let go of quite often in our every day lives. If you think about it a pet dog or cat is almost always ready to show their affection and love to us no matter what day it is, and to have them close to us or even just in the room with us during any kind of trip is probably really beneficial as they provide that positive energy that might not otherwise have been there
