WOW!!! what a yield!!!

Migrated topic.

so, after a couple extractions i decided last night to incorporate a sodium carbonate wash into my personalized mongrel-tek... man, i never ever ever ever ever expected results like this...

let me say this: i've read numerous times here at the nexus about how i should "never throw anything away until yr satisfied with the final product.".. after i separated my solvent from the wash i looked over the two shotglasses in front of me & decided "f**k that, those guys are all idiots... i am the chosen one, mere mortals tremble before me..." straight down the drain with the wash, straight to the freezer with the rest... & then back to the real world for a while...

well, i just peeped in my freezer & WOW!!! half a shotglass, full of insane looking white crystals... i never thought i'd see anything like that... but then, i never thought i'd dump my solvent down the drain & try to freeze precip my s-c wash either...

again, I AM THE CHOSEN ONE & MERE MORTALS TREMBLE BEFORE ME!!!

also, never throw anything away until yr satisfied with the final product...

no yield other than frozen sodium carbonate... the gremlins in the sewer got all the solvent... i'm never throwing anything else away, ever...

Lesson learned, and that's the most important :)

By the way, I know you thought it was just the wash but, solvents down the drain is not a good idea, your plumbing probably isnt made to stand solvents, plus depending on how it is (or isnt) treated and how its disposed, you may be contaminating the environment.

true that... i typically evap my solvent after FP, but this was the exception, like it or not (i don't  )... i live in a very remote area, so the solvent is gonna sit in my own septic tank & eventually seep into the ground that i draw my water from, now that you mention it... no damn bueno at all...

& the lesson is learned, for sure... got the wash from tonight's attempt (which is going swimmingly) all saved up, probably base it hard & see if there's anything at all left just for kicks...
