Yellow DMT turned to Orange DMT fumarate?

So SWIM wanted to make some DMT fumarate, he used yellow DMT that was not his purest stuff as he is new to making DMT fumarate and didnt want to use his best stuff yet.
He had tried to use acetone that has some water in it and got some snuff that wasnt the most powdery or crystally.
So he found out about making anhydrous acetone with baked epsom salt and made that.

Again trying to make DMT fumarate he started with yellow DMT and proceeded with the tek, all seems to be going well and it precipitated out quite well and it looks like crystals instead of goo, the only problem is that the DMT fumarate is all orange now, which never happened before.
Could this be caused by the epsom salt in the acetone? It has had a couple days to settle and separate and did not appear to be mixed when SWIM added it. or is it just orange because this DMT is more jungley then the first DMT he used? which is a distinct possibility.
 
If you started with yellow DMT..and then converted it to fumerate..than whatever made it orange can't be junge..I havent tried to convert to fumerate yet so I dunno really what went on..but to get jungle you have to pull with something other than naptha in the first place.

If you started with yellow DMT that was pulled with limonene..than it would have had some jungle in it, but still it would have been orangy to begin with, if you pulled with naptha than all the jungle has yet to be pulled..
 
Ok, perhaps i am not using the term "jungle" correctly, i took it to mean plant oils and other chemicals that come from the plant rather then the DMT.

SWIM is currently in the process of evaporating right now, when the orange crystals appeared it was because he let the crystals collect in the corner of the glass dish, then tilted it slowly so that the solvent would move and leave the crystals sticking to the dish.
These crystals that stuck were orange and the acetone was yellow.
By accident SWIM moved the dish and some acetone got back and swept a good portion of the orange crystals with it, what was left sticking to the glass seems to of now turned yellow.
Perhaps the orange color was just some of the impurities that apparently came out of the solvent before the yellow, the crystal that is not in the evaporating acetone is all yellow and looking quite normal now.
So! I dont know exactly what is going on but it all seems to be good now, still i wonder if the orange crystals in this case wouldnt be purer then the yellow.
 
Well, I couldn't tell you weather or not those crystals are purer than the yellow. But what i can tell you is that there is still other stuff in the bark..or aqueous solution prior to pulling. The "jungle" or "red" spice is some unknown psychedelic..most likey a tryptamine..it is stronger than DMT and some people like it more. It may be DMT trapped inside some beta carboline molecules, which is why it is more potent..either way it's awesome stuff! It is insoluble in naptha, but limonin, iso, acetone, tolune and xylene will pick it up. I always extract a mix of jungle and DMT, as well as DMT N oxide(also insoluble in naptha, and does not crystalize, it stays as an oil) so my stuff is alwasy a reddish orange waxy consistancy..but mush desired in comparison to just spice IMHO..

I guess there is a chance that some of you're spice oxidized..the N oxide is a yellow orangy oil, so I guess it's a possability..

Are you planning on using the fumerate for pharmahuasca?..You cannot smoke fumerate salts so if you want to smoke it you could always freebase it and pull again and try a sodium carbonate wash to remove impurities..but if it is N oxides and you pull with naptha you will lose the N oxides..they are still potent..and a bit smoother than N,N DMT...or keep it as is and use it orally with some caapi..
 
Ya, SWIM used naptha for the extraction so i dont know where the jungle or reddish orange color could of come from then, there was no orange until SWIM mixed the DMT acetone and the fumaric acid acetone, and then it turned yellow later on, so i am confused, but it turned out alright.
 
The next batch is orange as well, SWIM watched it all come out of the solution, the color changed instantly when the two clear liquids mixed, the crystals sticking to the glass are orange, SWIM wonders if he should even bother to let it turn yellow like before.
