You owe it to yourself to read this

Migrated topic.
That's a great read, I just wish it wasn't so vague at certain points..

Example:

So much so, that he now doesn't know what the meaning of fear is. In fact, not only was he lucky to have this experience, but like a true scientist, he started experimenting in this field of pure awareness. He would go into the gap. Now he knew how to slip into it, and from there he would put his attention on his leg which had completely burned. There was no muscle - nothing. His femur was exposed to the atmosphere. Over the course of 2 years, by diving into the gap, projecting his awareness from there, be has actually regrown a new lower extremity. Because he found that place from where everything was created. It's his own Self. It's his own Self.
How does he do this? Psychedelics? Meditation? Electrocuting himself again?

There was an experiment done at Harvard Medical School about 20 years ago. A group of scientists took some kittens and brought them up in a room that had only horizontal stripes. All the visual stimuli in the room were horizontal. Another group of kittens was brought up in a room that had only vertical stripes. And when these kittens grew up to be wise old cats, it turns out that one group of cats could see only a horizontal world. The other group of cats could see only a vertical world. And this had nothing to do with the belief system of these cats.
I don't understand what he means by a "horizontal" or "vertical" world...Does he just mean they don't interact with horizontal or vertical objects / decorations?

I found alot of it rang similar to DMT breakthroughs. Ultimate consciousness, no mind, no body, pure bliss...check check and double check! :)

He means only how they would perceive the world. For us to even think of just one or the other would be quite hard.

How exactly does one establish that? How does one identify a cat's mode of thought?

Also, his notion of the transformation of disease seems to ignore the fact that increased cancer rates have a lot to do with increased life expectancy, as a lot of the 'banished' diseases would have killed those people before they had a chance to develop cancer. He makes a few interesting arguments, but all in all he seems too vague and his examples weak.

Would love to see what tests the scientists did to determine that the cats were in fact only seeing a 'vertical' or 'horizontal world'. Would love to actually see any info on that test, seems interesting, but can't seem to find anything related to it on google, other than some more recent studies at Harvard recording the firing of neural circuits in cats and rats.

I.think.the.horizontal.vertical.thing.is.based.on.the.same.principle.that.people.who.live.in.a.jungle.area.see.differently.than.us.
For.example.when.seeing.a.road.in.the.distance.they.would.think.it.would.end.abruptly.
This.is.due.to.conditioning.
They.are.used.to.that.way.of.perceiving.things.
The.same.way.we.wouldn't.be.able.to.spot.wildlife.as.easily.as.they.do.in.the.jungle.

So.that.probably.also.works.with.cats.dependig.on.how.they.are.conditioned.in.their.growing.phase.

I.like.the.part.that.every.cell.in.our.body.is.a.concious.part...and.that.every.atom.in.our.body.has.been."recycled"...
In.this.way.the.idea.that.everything.is.interconnected.is.looked.at.in.a.scientific.way.
