10 dollar cheap vaporizer method!

So I obtained a cheap metal pipe, and stainless steel scrubbing pads. I heated the metal scrubbing pads until red hot just in case, and then cut them to fit in the "lid" and bowl of the pipe. Below are pictures of the final product and the pipe itself. The hope is that the spice will be sandwhiched between the two layers of scrubbing pad and the spice will be vaporized and not burnt. I like the idea but, I also see you not being able to fully burn/vape your spice in one rip. Also I find that the smoke must be HOT and will probably be extremely harsh seeing as there is no space between your apparatus and mouth for the smoke to cool.(This deff happens while smoking herb) One suggestion that I have is heat the outside of your apparatus with a flame for 30-45sec to get the entire thing hot and then take your drag. This will help the innards come up in temp before the blast and help with the vaping vs. burning effect you are going for. In the end I see you still burning more than vaping. Keep up the good work, for every 10 ideas we have 1 will be amazing, and I can tell your deff on your way to some amazing ideas if you keep it up! :d

Personally SWIM's method is freebasing out of a hollowed light bulb. SWIM finds this to be one of the most effective methods. First your are vaping and not burning. Second you can see the action happening and know when the blast is going to be just right. Finally, (the most important part) your guaranteed to get your entire blast at once. SWIM can't count how many times people haven't blasted off into hyperspace because they haven't gotten the hit all at once. Also it makes SWIM cringe when SWIM hears horror stories of how much spice people are putting in their blasts only to be wasting 5+ good hits just to get 1 experience. Knowing how to properly vape/smoke your spice is a very important part of the process, if not the most important.

If your not aware of how to go about making a light bulb vape, just use your favorite video search engine, there's lots out there on the subject.

just soak it in acetone for removal of factory oils. Otherwise it may become flaky.

Sorry to ruin the fun but i may have a cheaper method depending on where you are, you could obtain a glass bulb style vaporizing pipe for 5 dollars.

I am not saying this method may not work but have you had any luck with the set up?

In my experience, having tried numerous methods, I find light bulb vaporizers and other methods that heat spice via conduction to be among the worst possible ways of consuming DMT.

Also, methods that heat spice via conduction are almost as likely to burn spice as is a direct flame.

So I tried it and I had a great experience, so far I've had the most success with this method as evidenced in the vapor. I have tried the lightbulb method with some luck, but most of the dmt became condensed on the sides and had to later be scraped off. I try to smoke it freebase which works out in the beginning but really isn't that successful. I view this style as more of an idiot proof way, cause no matter how hard you inhale, the flame is never allowed to touch the spice. As far as the short length, before trying it out I simply added another section from a metal pipe. It looks exactly the same with just an extra chamber on it. Worked fantastic, got more smoke as opposed to other methods I've tried. I definately felt confident that I didn't burn much of the spice, as the smoke wasn't that harsh, and had a decent taste to it. I will always keep on experimenting and making it better but for now I like what I have.

The lightbulb, IMO, is the worst method of smoking anything. Maybe it's because I'm a newb with vaporizing; however, I find a machine (a mini machine is even more intriguing ) to be way more efficient than a lightbulb. I made mine out of a mini liquor bottle. One just like this (the Chivas has a Hennessy-like bottom, easy to drill it):
