Looks like I might have discovered (for myself) the biggest negative of using a portable dry herbs vaporizer for spice. As with most life lessons - had to learn this one the hard way.
So, due to the inherent inefficiency of portable dry herbs vaporizers – in my case - the Pulsar ProShift – the damn thing needs to be loaded up with 70-90mg to get… anywhere….
And don’t get me wrong – this makes for a nice trip – and even nicer comedown/afterglow since you can keep hitting the vaporizer until there’s no more spice left.
But there’s a “but”.
Been practicing fairly consistently since august this year - it settled down at once a week, 2x sessions spaced a few hours apart, dozed as mentioned above.
Here’s what I’ve been observing over 4-5 weeks:
Here’s what I’m figuring:

Here’s what I’ve been observing over 4-5 weeks:
- My “breakthrough” CEV phase was getting more and more mumbo-jumbo with less and less “DMT” flavor to it – while steering more towards being “tumble-dried in my owns thoughts”. And – come to think of it – I never really achieved any deep enough levels of “breakthrough” worth remembering or speaking of.
- OEV phase also seem to have lost some of its "charme"
- Quality of the comedown/afterglow dropped severely over last couple of weeks.
- Quality of sleep spiraled down significantly in the last few weeks.
- I even blamed it on the quality of spice itself as I’ve started a new batch… purposefully had a session on a dose from another – known – batch with no difference in results.
Here’s what I’m figuring:
- These 140-180-ish mg/week if not contributing much to a psychedelic experience itself – still account for a sh@#$ load of spice for body’s biology to deal with.
- It might just be my personal metabolism – but I might have oversaturated my body with spice and dealing with the consequences now
- Naturally - I’m taking a long break to relieve the strain on my body
- Naturally – I’ll be changing the mean of inhaling to something more efficient and in line with community’s wisdom
- Perhaps – I’m getting to a point where I need to re-examine the frequency of my practices
- So far, the value of spice in my life has been enormous. It got me through the wall I’ve hit with cubes and to integrate the lessons learned. Nevermind the effect on personal relationships. Nevermind – the progress I made in my own head. Nevermind the fact that I've basically lost taste to alcohol...
