100 grams of Torch Powder - Teagbags and Resin?

Well dont mean to burst your bubble but most torch powder out is there is pretty damn rubbish. You should buy live plant cuttings really and i think thats the general opinion of most people.

The torch powder always seems to give very low yield of mesc. if any.

You're going to lose at least a little of the actives with any extraction tek. That said, 100g of torch would be way, way too much for a single dose. Each batch of cactus can differ greatly in potency, so you'll want to start low and work up. People seem to report yields of about 2%, so maybe make it all into resin and then divide the end product up and take 15% of it (roughly 1/5 or equal to 15g of torch). At 2% mescaline content, this would be 300mg and certainly not a toe-dipping.

Swim looks forward to hearing how you get on as he has quite potent torch powder also and thought the resin tek was a no go. Hes just been eating it in shots of orange juice, hes going for 20g tomorrow morning, is a bit of a pain but its worth it. He may extract 100g with rons tek just to see but so far its very nice just eating as is, its just having to do that, he takes shots of orange juice with 2-3g then chews grapefruit like a tequila shot, works pretty good, best method hes found, hes yet to try making jelly. Also swims friend told him that grapefruit opens up the cells and makes for better obsorption

Meant to ask fractal, when swiy takes that 30g of cactus how is it comparable to the mescaline acetate? Swims friend seems to have the opinion that theres no point in extracting but swims two experiences so far with this cactus, one 13g the other 17g were very nice and enjoyable but didnt seem to come close to his one and only mescaline acetate experience, he isnt sure how much he took however, but with the acetate it didnt seem to last as long as the straight cactus and there were more visual effects.

I wonder if you could do Ron's Limonene tek on the resin? Limonene is the most expensive part of the mix, and you'd only need a tiny bit that way.

^^Hey that's a very interesting point. 5 litres of limonene for me is the same price as 250g of top quality Peruvian torch chips from Peru (including postage), so its simply not financially worthwhile for me to go down the limonene route any more...I would rather have more cactus for the same price.

However this idea, extarcting the resin with the limonene is a very interesting one and would really save on the limonene...will have to give it a try sometime...although I must say I'm very chuffed with the resin itself! 8)

SWIM has been working on no-brew warm/cold water extraction of torch with amazing results.

20g of torch powder mixed with 1 litre warm water and mixed several times over 2 hours produced a slightly amber brew with effectiveness GREATER than 20g of dried powder consumed plain. But compared to the plain powder the brew gave <1/3 the nausea

wow, interesting.. did swim reduce the brew using any heat? i assume not...
the powdered cactus soup wasn't difficult to filter? or did swim decant?

the soup was just decanted. is wasn't slimy but was just as bitter and ~tasty~ as reduced slime.

SWIM is now testing a COLD water batch and will try reducing this one to resin.
It seems that the warm water was better for getting the content out just by the color of the water, but not too hot or it will get slimy!

SWIM will post a full thread when he has worked out the kinks!
