nice i just got my first peyotes this past month and i couldnt be happier and it seams one f them is just beginging to flower. how old is yours is it traditional or caespitosa? i got 3 nice sized caespitosas one traditional northern williamsiis and two southern any tips on graphting or taking clones? for the caespitosas i just pulled off several buttons that had roots on them and planted them and then some i cut the top of the button off also cut the top of my pedro and used masking tape to tape them on. how long till the graphts start growing.
Hey man thanks not sure exactly what kind it is as its one of the few ive ever been lucky enough to see. Grafting is definately the way tho if you wanna watch em grow as fast as a san pedro. This graft is about 3 years old now and the peyote was much smaller when i first bout it. Im sure the peyote was roughly 4-5 years old to be that big when being grafted onto a stock. I got it as a graft though.
and in about a year it grew 7 pups and this is the first flower although ive noticed it almost pop out before:grin:
Heres a good video on grafting hopefully this helps you out:thumb_up: the other vid is on his youtube profile btw Grafting Lophs
thanks i already grafted them by the time i read this. is that the only one you have? i recently took like 50 rooted pups of of a caespitosa variety and would like to share them with people who have a hard time geting them they are critically endangered and need to be propagated before they are extinct!
