Theobromine is NICE
It goes well with pretty much all tryptamines, especially HBWR.
Theobromine is a vasodilator like yohimbe, a much weaker stimulant than yohimbe, and also considered by some to be an aphrodisiac like yohimbe. Both produce pleasant tingling sensations in the body. Although they share many of the same characteristic effects, theobromine is less toxic, and the feeling you get from it is very different. Theobromine produces euphoria and tingling sensation mostly. Yohimbe is slightly psychedelic.
Yohimbe is visual on its own at high doses. The visual effects are minor though and the dosage needed for visual effects will make you nervous and jittery. I’d stay away from high doses of yohimbe. Low doses are extremely good for increasing stamina, far better than caffeine or theobromine. With yohimbe you can keep doing physical activity many times longer than you normally can without feeling worn out, and the following day you feel fine.
Yohimbe goes better with HBWR than any other compound. Like yohimbe, theobromine counteracts the sedative effects of HBWR and counteracts the vasoconstriction effects of HBWR (and mushrooms), but it doesn’t add much to the psychedelic effects, and isn’t quite as effective at counteracting the sedative effects. Yohimbe also increases the visual effects quite a bit. It’s a great combination. Some people like HBWR + theobromine + yohimba. The combination is extremely euphoric, but large doses should probably be avoided.
For use with mushrooms, theobromine is much better than yohimbe. It is in fact common for shamans to drink strong cocoa prior to ingesting mushrooms. Yohimbe is a strong stimulant and its stimulant effects combine with the stimulant effects of psilocybin producing a very unpleasant state, while theobromine’s stimulant effects are very weak, and so it mostly serves to counteract the vasoconstriction effects of psilocybin. It slightly increases the psychedelic effects.
