It is visual at high doses. Everyone I know who’s tried it has experienced visual effects at high doses. But the dose needed makes you nervous and jittery, and some people notice their heart beating more than usual.

Yohimbe is a vasodilator. It can make you look a little more red than normal (from more blood getting to your skin). This effect is pleasant and causes tingling sensations in the body. This is also useful for ED problem in some people. Like Viagra, yohimbine (the main active compound in yohimbe) is an approved drug for use with ED.

What’s it like?

That’s hard to say. It’s primarily a stimulant. It’s stimulant powers are more effective than caffeine. It feels similar to guarana, or somewhat like a mix of caffeine and ephedrine. It’s also a weak psychedelic. The psychedelic effects are noticeable if you take about 3 times more than an average dose. Your sense of 3D visual awareness is altered, your sense of touch is altered, you feel tingling sensations all over, and you’ll see stream-like visual ripples. These effects are all minor.

Its stimulant effects are similar to certain brands of LSD. The type of LSD that makes people red in the face is similar to how yohimbe feels. I don’t know what additive causes the red face effects found in some brands of LSD, but whatever it is, it’s like that.

When yohimbe is mixed with HBWR, the effects are much more LSD-like. The colors are brighter, the feeling tone is upbeat, you feel energized instead of lethargic, etc. But it doesn’t add any LSD-like “electric” feeling tones to it.
