5-MEO-DMT Question

Hi Everyone,

I don't know if this has been asked before, but I would like to know this:

Is 5-MEO-DMT orally active? Or does one need a RIMA or other MAOI for it to work in the ol' intestines?

SWIM has lots of experience with N-N variety, but not much with 5-MEO.

SWIM has seen in the safety section in this forum that there has been at least one recorded death on MAOI and 5-MEO. So he waas wondering about this...

Be careful with oral 5-Meo-DMT. There is some evidence that it may be poisonous, and a lot of people find it extremely unpleasant.

A reversible or standard MAOI will make it orally active, and it isn't active orally otherwise.

I personally am on the fence: Chaliponga Ayahuasca (which purportedly contains DMT) is one of the best experiences I've ever had, but a lot of people have had negative experiences with oral 5-Meo.

Sublingual seems to be the way to go with 5--meo dmt. I tried insufflating the hcl but the noseburn waas a bit too uncomfortable.

I'll be trying the sublingual route very soon without maoi.

eating 5 meo dmt often resulted in me blacking out, but still being fully aware. Was a relatively disconcerting feeling... I enjoyed it quite a bit, not for everyone tho.

Insufflating it definitely works (without a MAOI)... Burns a bit, as DeMenTed mentioned, but is less intense IMO. The come-up was slower and the whole experience was more manageable... that could easily be due to the amount I had though. I was being vary careful on how much I was taking.

The stuff scares me quite a bit, but different strokes of different folks, as some people really enjoy the full on experience. I guess it just doesn't quite agree with me.
