8 month old mimosa tea extraction not working

Hi guys, when i first made dmt and tried it I had seen enough for a couple of months

Now, recently my intrest has peaked again so i decided to try & extract the jar of mimosa vinegar extract i had left. but after basing & pulling I cannot seem to get any dmt from it! the very few crystals that precipped went away when it heated up.

Anyone here had succes with extracting old mimosa tea? or is 8 months way too old (didn't fridge it, only kept it dark) and should i just throw it out and hope the remaining dmt in my mimosa hasn't degraded yet?

What solvent did you use.

I'm using heptane (C7H16), it's the only thing thats easy to get and cheap, still looking for limonene 8)

I added more then 100grams of NaOH to 750ml of water, i think that's more then enough?
