Greetings nexians,
I'm working on an acacia albida phyllode extraction and having trouble with emulsions when defatting I'm defatting with xylene and the pH of my solution now is 5.5 did a couple o
f pulls and always have a huge emulsion layer then I decided to add salt and clumps of what seems to be more fat appeared.I wanted to know if I can discard this layer I mean does it have goodies in there or it's not that importnat?
I thought of filtering this clumps with a coffe filter but wasn't sure if the spice(if there is any in albida) is trapped in the fats or is it all suspended in the solution?
also why did this clumps appeared after adding salt?
Is this the right section for this kind of questions?
